We believe that a patient’s comfort and satisfaction is of the utmost importance! That’s why it always gives us great pleasure and a sense of pride when our patients take the time to write to us with kind words about their Lindenhurst Eye Physicians & Surgeons LASIK experience. We’d like to share with you some recent letters we’ve received.

I must say the entire team at Lindenhurst Eye Physicians & Surgeons performed marvelously regarding my consultations, surgery and follow-ups. I have been completely satisfied with the entire process!! My eyesight is fantastic and I really enjoyed losing the eyeglasses.

The staff and Dr. Nattis displayed a true caring and professional attitude that I greatly appreciated as I assume all your clients do.

Again, my eyesight is awesome and I look forward to seeing you in early 2005 for my 1-year follow-up.

Regards,
Bill Johnston

I’m writing to thank you and Dr. Nattis from freeing me from the 35-year tyranny of glasses. As a physician, I was concerned about any problems that I might have with LASIK, but the staff and Dr. Nattis explained the procedure and possibilities in an objective professional manner, putting my mind at ease.
The results thus far are even better than I expected. I was able to see clearly after a few hours, and by the next day, I was driving and performing household repair work. I played golf 3 days after the procedure and went back to work after 4 days. It’s great to wake up in the morning and not have to fumble for my glasses, or having to juggle 3 sets of glasses (regular, sunglasses and bifocals), making sure I always have the right one handy.

Yesterday I was playing golf in the humidity, and it started to rain. It was a wonderful experience not having to wipe raindrops off my glasses between shots, or clearing away fog. I know this may not seem like much, but it really impressed me how great the results are. I can’t wait for the wintertime, when I can finally go skiing without fogging up.

When people ask me about the procedure (and they have already), I will recommend Dr. Nattis and your facility without reservation.

Many thanks,
Laurence Engelberg, MD

In today’s world of heightened technology, I never realized the value of technology on a personal level. In my younger years, I used to wear glasses. In spite of having beautifully framed lenses, reduced in thickness, I used to receive comments than my lenses were as thick as bottle caps, and people would say that I was blind. I also felt self-conscious wearing glasses.

I am very happy with the results of my LASIK surgery. I can now see 20/25. It’s like looking at the world with new eyes for the first time. Now I have no problem reading street signs. I can sit toward the back of the Movie Theater, or a play, and see all the actors including their clothes and facial features. Most of all I am very pleased with Dr. Nattis and his staff. They are caring, honest, sincere and patient individuals.

After having great results with my eye surgery, I then encouraged my brother to do the same, and he followed in suit. My brother’s eye surgery was also very successful, where he is now seeing at 20/20 vision. Therefore, with my gratitude, I would strongly recommend others who are interested in LASIK surgery to have it done by Dr. Nattis.

Sincerely,
Ilene Gorstein

Words cannot express how elated I am with my “new eyes”! My vision before surgery was 20/600. Now I have 20/20 in my right eye and 20/60 in my left. I’m optimistic that my left eye will come into focus to at least 20/30 (which is where I was with contact lenses). Either way, it’s just unbelievable that I can see without any corrective lenses.

I want to personally thank the entire staff for their professionalism in the ensuring of my ease and comfort throughout the surgery.
Thanks again for everything.

Sincerely,
Nancy Gallagher

Ever since I was a little girl, I have worn glasses. My eyesight grew progressively worse as the years passed. Keeping my glasses on the nightstand in my bedroom was a part of my life, a life of blurred vision. Walking at night, and not being able to see the time, or the clock for that matter, was frustrating. My eyesight was so bad that it could not be measured by normal means. During eye exams, when I was asked to read the chart on the wall, I would literally reply: “What wall?” I was not joking.

Then one day I noticed my family doctor was not wearing his glasses. He said he had laser surgery and recommended it very highly. Dr. Nattis did his surgery, and if he was good enough for my family doctor, he was the one I wanted to do my eyes.

It is now two years since Dr. Nattis performed my laser surgery. I went from thick glass “Coke Bottle” glasses, to no glasses at all.

Fair warning, if you lived your life with glasses you will spend a few months after surgery reaching for the nightstand, feeling behind your ear, and poking in your pocket for glasses that are no longer there. They’re gone and your world looks crisp, clear and beautiful. Thank you Dr. Nattis, and everyone at your office.

Sincerely,
Helene F. Allen
